The town hall, which is reproduced in the miniature town, was built in 1840 and had a life span of only 35 years.

Back then, the entire municipal administration could be in this one building.

There was also room for a police station, courthouse, prison, and fire station.

Note the prison yard and the fire sprayers behind the town hall in the small extension to the right in the foreground of the picture.

In prison, prisoner Hans Hansen from Herslev looked through the bars. This is shown by the census of 1870.
The prison is the smaller windows - 4 pieces - on the ground floor on the left.
