Sct. Jørgens Hospital

The hospital was built in 1558. It functioned almost like a nursing home, where the city's paupers could get shelter, food and care. In 1838, the red hospital building was built north of the hospital.

In 1917, the two buildings were merged into the building we know today.

In 1975, the building was thoroughly renovated by Kolding Municipality and converted into an assembly building for use by the city's cultural associations
